Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Profile: your display name, an automatically created username, and an optional profile photo.
• Payments: each payment's time, amount, currency, country, and the order and payment IDs from our payment partner.
• Creator rankings (only if you add yourself): your Instagram username or YouTube handle, name, category, subscription or membership price and paid-subscriber or member count, which are shown publicly once verified; a proof screenshot, seen only by our admin and never published; and an optional email to contact you about your entry. Ask us at any time to remove your entry and screenshot.
• Technical data: your IP address and the country it comes from, collected in standard server and security logs.
• Mobile number: asked for at checkout when our payment partner requires it. We pass it to them to process the payment; we don't store it or show it on the site.
• We do not receive or store your card number, bank account, or UPI ID. These go directly to our payment partner.

How we use it

• To show the current #1 position, the position history, and your profile page.
• To show prices in your local currency, process payments, and handle refunds and complaints.
• To keep the site secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

What is public

Your display name, username, photo (if you add one), and the times you reached #1 are visible to anyone who visits the site, including on your shareable profile page. Don't use a name or photo you want to keep private.

Who we share it with

• Cashfree Payments, our payment partner, to process payments. This includes your mobile number when the payment partner requires it.
• DigitalOcean, which hosts our servers in India.
• Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site and may process your IP address outside India.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Cookies

TopPosition itself does not set tracking or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set a security cookie, and the payment window may set cookies needed to complete the payment.

How long we keep it

Profiles and position history stay until you ask us to remove them. Payment records are kept for 8 years because Indian tax and accounting law requires it. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (and the GDPR, if you are in the UK or EU) you can ask to see, correct, or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent. Email [email protected] with your username. We will remove your name and photo from the public board within 7 days; payment records we must keep by law are retained but no longer shown. You can also complain to our Grievance Officer, Prashanth Kumar A, at the same address.

Age

The site is not meant for children under 18. If you believe a child has submitted their data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

We will update this page when our data practices change; the date at the top shows the latest version.
